Relation Insurance Welcomes Julio Bermudez as Practice Leader, Private Equity and Transactional Risk

Veteran insurance leader strengthens the firm’s growing Specialty platform

CHICAGO, Aug. 13, 2026 – Relation Insurance Services (“Relation”) is pleased to welcome Julio Bermudez as Practice Leader, Private Equity, Transactional Risk and Financial Institutions. Bermudez joins Relation with more than 30 years of experience advising private equity firms, financial institutions and portfolio companies on management liability and transactional risk solutions.

Throughout his career, Bermudez has worked closely with private equity firms and their portfolio companies to develop insurance and risk management strategies supporting transactions, executive liability and long-term business growth. His experience includes management liability, financial institutions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), transactional liability and Representations & Warranties (R&W) insurance.

Before joining Relation, Bermudez held leadership roles with several of the industry’s leading insurance organizations, advising clients on complex management liability and transactional risk programs. He began his career as a financial institutions underwriter before transitioning to brokerage, where he has spent more than three decades helping clients navigate increasingly sophisticated risks.

In his role, Bermudez will lead Relation’s private equity, transactional risk and financial institution practice, helping strengthen the firm’s Specialty platform while equipping producers with the expertise and resources to better serve private equity clients.
