Benefits Compliance Spotlight: Tax-Advantaged Accounts and Employer Assistance Programs

Watch Relation Insurance’s Quarterly Compliance Webinar Series for a timely, practical discussion on employee benefits compliance issues affecting employers and plan sponsors today.

Webinar Overview

Tax-advantaged benefit accounts and employer assistance programs can deliver meaningful value to employees—but they also come with compliance obligations, administrative complexity, and evolving guidance that employers cannot afford to overlook.

From HSAs and FSAs to educational and dependent care assistance programs, today’s benefit strategies require more than a high-level understanding. Employers need clear, practical guidance on how these programs work, where compliance risks arise, and what steps can help support sound plan administration.

That’s why Relation Insurance’s Quarterly Compliance Webinar Series is focused on helping plan sponsors and employers better understand key benefit programs, current compliance considerations, and practical administration issues so they can make informed decisions and reduce risk.

What You’ll Learn

During this session, attendees will gain practical insight into:

  • Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and key compliance considerations for employers
  • Health Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) including administration and plan design issues
  • Educational Assistance Programs and how they fit into a broader employee benefits strategy
  • Dependent Care Assistance Programs and important employer compliance considerations
  • Trump Accounts and what employers should understand about this developing topic

Why This Conversation Matters

Employee benefits are often viewed as a value-added offering, but they also create important compliance and administration responsibilities. Programs such as HSAs, FSAs, educational assistance, and dependent care assistance can support employee wellbeing and retention—yet errors in design, administration, or communication may expose employers to avoidable risk.

This session helps employers better understand:

  • Where common compliance issues arise
  • How these programs interact with employer responsibilities
  • What practical administration challenges may need attention
  • How to make more confident, informed benefits decisions
