A large-scale commercial berry crop producer with more than $600M in annual revenue. They have operations in the U.S. and international locations and approximately 1,000 full-time employees.
The Challenge
Incidents in the workplace play a critical role in profitability and bottom line cost. Due to ineffective tracking of collateral requirements and trouble with managing historic claims, their workers’ compensation costs were escalating out of control. They were also unhappy with their loss control partner.
The Solution and Result
After a highly competitive RFP process, we were selected as their new agency of record. We immediately brought in our team of highly skilled, bilingual loss control professionals who, in addition to having extensive agricultural backgrounds, each average 16 years of insurance industry experience. All have strong market relationships in the Agri Business industry and it was this expertise, coupled with our loss control support capability that allowed us to quickly and efficiently move our client to a fully insured model. Now our client has much more visibility into the collateral and claims management process, their costs continue to decrease and they’ve saved more than $400K overall so far.
