Mary Ann Romero Joins Ascension Insurance as Senior Claims Management Advocate
Walnut Creek, Calif., 02 June 2016 – Ascension Insurance, Inc. announced today that Mary Ann Romero, a licensed property and casualty professional, who previously worked in its Pan American business unit, has returned to the company as a Senior Claims Management Advocate. In this role, Mary Ann will work closely with managing principals and risk management teams to support the due diligence and advocacy resources Pan American provides its clients during the claims process. She will be based in the Sacramento office.
Mary Ann originally joined the Pan American team in 1998, in the role of Client Relations and Agency Claim Manager. Her responsibilities included managing workers compensation claims and risk management for various customers in California, in addition to managing claims and assisting sales when needed.
Mary Ann has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. She began her career at Metropolitan Property and Casualty in 1989, when she started working as a property and casualty claims dispatcher. In that role, she was responsible for assigning and managing independent adjusters to inspect and provide estimates of damage for auto and home claims. She then transitioned to property and casualty claim representative, managing auto and home claims for various states across the United States.

While at Pan American previously, Mary Ann was the recipient of the presidential award 3 times, for assisting with sales, customer service, claim management service and products throughout California. She studied business and communications in Wyoming before coming to California to work in the insurance industry.
