Ascension Insurance, Inc. Appoints Kari Doeckel Vice President, Operations to Our Pan American Business Unit
Walnut Creek, Calif., 31 October 2017 – Kari Doeckel has joined our Pan American business unit as Vice President, Operations. In her new role, Kari will lead account retention, carrier management, and client-service development efforts for Pan-American. She will be based out of our Fresno, California office.
Kari gained deep insurance-industry expertise from her various positions during a twelve-year tenure at Willis Insurance Services, including Senior Account Manager (2003-2009), Chief Operations Officer (2009-2011), Consultant Applied Systems/Epic Trainer (2012-2013), Business Production Systems Analyst (2013-2015), and National Surety Operations Project Manager (2015).
Most recently, she was Member Relationship Manager at United Valley Insurance Services, Inc., where she served as the primary liaison to assigned territory members, contacted and vetted prospective member agencies and vendors, supported new members’ onboarding, and worked closely with support staff to develop consistent training tools, webinars, and other training events. Prior to United Valley, Kari was a Product Consultant at Applied Systems, Inc., where she designed documents in Epic, custom forms, letter templates, proposals, and workflow products for various business streams. She also reviewed sample data migration issues from legacy systems into Epic in preparation of final data sample conversion, migration, and implementation.

Kari received her Paralegal Certificate from the San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis, CA in 1999. She subsequently attended Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO, where she earned her Associate’s degree in General Education in 2010; she then returned to Colorado Christian University in 2017 and is currently working towards her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, which she will receive in 2019.
