POSITION SUMMARY


The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting the Talent Acquisition Department and the overall Human Resources team. This individual undertakes a variety of administrative tasks to facilitate daily recruiting functions, such as keeping track of employee records, scheduling interviews and supporting the hiring process. With limited supervision, the Talent Acquisition Specialist works accurately and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end completion of Relation’s recruiting flow and projects, contributing to the attainment of specific goals and results of the human resources department and the organization.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist exercises the utmost discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters, such as pre-employment screenings and investigations, payroll, personnel relations and organizational changes.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Posts job requisitions and reviews/prepares the presentation of candidates on behalf of the talent acquisition team to hiring supervisors.
  • Assists talent acquisition team with customized screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
  • Manages the employee referral applicant and interview process, including education on the referral program, matching the candidate with the appropriate job posting, and notifying payroll for referral bonus payout if hired. 
  • Schedules pre-screen interviews, schedules manager interviews, completes reference checks, prepares offer letters, tracks new possible candidates, and arranges travel arrangement for candidates as necessary. 
  • Handles all invoices related to the talent acquisition team.
  • Once a job offer is accepted, works internally with the HR team, IT department, and hiring manager to have them set up successfully for employment. This includes getting the new hire’s onboarding paperwork completed, ensuring all pre-employment screenings are completed, and coordinating that the necessary equipment/systems prepared for their first day. 
  • Manages temporary employees including the interview process, communicating with the supervisor or the IT department for their start date/end date/length of assignment, and reviewing timecard approvals with the supervisor. 
  • Maintains accurate and complete employee records in electronic and paper form, as applicable, and ensures all recordkeeping requirements are met.
  • Organizes, maintains and updates employee and candidate information as needed.
  • Creates recruiting reports as requested to track open positions, time to fill, hires by source, etc.
  • Provides support coordination of recruitment projects and related services to supervisors, hiring managers, recruitment team members, and others.
  • Assists with identifying issues affecting talent acquisition and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve process.
  • Participates in human resources meetings and in developing department goals, objectives and systems. 
  • Attends training and seminars (via online or in person) as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  • Performs other related duties as required/assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience required. 
  • At least 1 year of experience in Corporate Human Resources, Corporate Recruitment, and/or work in the Staffing Industry preferred.
