The Internet Sales Specialist is responsible for handling all incoming sales calls and internet leads, as well as confirming sales appointments and performing long-term follow-up on all unsold customers (i.e., internet leads, incoming calls, and office visits). This person will strive to generate repeat business by reaching out to current customers to ensure client satisfaction through legendary service delivery. In addition, this position conducts market research and develops a base of business to educate, promote and sell insurance services. The Internet Sales Specialist keeps current on community activities to obtain leads for business development opportunities. This individual will maintain and service a profitable book of insurance business for existing clients. The Internet Sales Specialist will always project a professional company image through all interactions with clients, insurance carriers, co-workers and others.
A GLIMPSE INTO THE POSITION
•Serves as client advocate and a primary point of contact for incoming sales calls and internet leads
•Works with other Producers and/or Managers to review existing policy coverage, upgrade accounts and remarket when possible. Collects information from clients to prepare schedules of insurance, summaries and renewal proposals
•Reviews appropriate policy change requests and other account activity. Documents automated files as appropriat
•Participates in insurance marketing events, seminars, trade shows, telemarketing events and continuing education. Reads and interprets technical manuals and insurance information from carriers, vendors, etc.
•Develops professional business relationships with all clients and demonstrates a clear understanding of the client’s core business
•Assists in managing client expectations, service commitments, and anticipates needs of the client
•Quickly identifies and resolves basic client service issues
•Acts as the ambassador of Relation culture to clients, visitors and team members by communicating in a professional and courteous manner
•High School diploma or its equivalent
•A Property & Casualty License from state of domicile
•1+ years’ sales experience with preference given to individuals with personal lines product experience
•Strong negotiator, avid problem solver and works well with different personalities to ensure sale
•Highly motivated, competitive and goals driven with a proven track record in sales
•Working knowledge of coverage options and industry operations
•Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills are required to explain coverages, receive and interpret information and respond appropriately
